(Prunus armeniaca)
It has anti-inflammatory, regenerating, revitalising, toning and cholesterol reducing effects.
Sweet apricot kernel oil, reminiscent of marzipan, is one of the best and most popular vegetable oils for body massages. It has a powerful antioxidant effect thanks to its vitamin A and E content. Used internally, it reduces LDL cholesterol levels.
The phytosterols it contains slow down the ageing process and improve the skin's barrier function. It has anti-inflammatory, regenerating, revitalising and toning properties. It is recommended for use in face and body oils for tired, toned, wrinkled, ageing, dry, dull and oily skin conditions. Its anti-inflammatory action can be exploited in the treatment of respiratory complaints, as part of chest and back rub mixtures.
It can be used in a blend, or on its own in a face oil, mixed with massage oil, or as a body oil.
Body massage/body rub. Use more vegetable oil when you do this. If you go to a masseuse, you can take the mixture with you.
Energizing: 10 drops of White Essence a few drops of apricot kernel oil (Prunus armeniaca).
In case of lack of energy, weakness, respiratory ailments, rub White Essence along the spine and then rub a few drops of apricot kernel oil over the affected skin area.
Sore throat: mix 3 drops of Blue Essence with the same amount of apricot kernel oil and apply to the outside of the throat area, drink at least 2.5 litres of warm herbal tea and keep your neck warm. Repeat 4 times a day until fully healed.
